CTHULHU: THE COSMIC ABYSS

CTHULHU: THE COSMIC ABYSS REVEALS NEW GAMEPLAY TRAILER AHEAD OF APRIL 16TH LAUNCH

A deeper look at core mechanics and the mounting dread and cosmic horror awaiting players beneath the surface

Lesquin, France, March 25, 2026 – With less than a month to go before the release of Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, NACON and the studio Big Bad Wolf today unveiled a new gameplay trailer detailing various game mechanics. Through his investigation, Noah and his AI companion, KEY, are confronted with unspeakable and untold horrors. Discover more about this narrative investigation game before its release on April 16th on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

In this new trailer, KEY, Noah’s AI assistant, introduces the oppressive universe in which Noah, an investigator specializing in occult cases, operates. He reaches the gates of the mythical sunken city of R’lyeh, where the most terrifying of the Great Old Ones is trapped, following a major discovery by the mining company Ocean-I, whose expedition is now missing…

To uncover the truths hidden in this city, the player must use their wits and leverage KEY’s abilities.

The trailer highlights several mechanics:

  • Clue Analysis: Analyze or handle an object to find clues and advance the investigation. Each analysis teaches the player more about an object’s composition and unlocks new frequencies for the sonar, allowing them to track other elements of similar composition.
  • Energy: Analysis consumes energy. The player will need to use this resource carefully; if they run out and analyze objects, it will increase their corruption gauge. To recover energy, strange organic resources scattered here and there must be collected.
  • The Vault: This database gathers all discovered clues and documents. It is an essential tool for solving puzzles by linking clues together to progress in the investigation.
  • The Sonar: This multitasking tool allows progress in the dark by revealing hidden passages. The sonar can track discovered frequencies to find new clues by following  certain leads. It also allows the player to reveal the invisible.
  • Artifacts and Upgrades: Discover strange artifacts that allow you to upgrade some of your investigation tools with the help of KEY. But beware, these upgrades are vulnerable: they can be corrupted and destroyed by the player’s choices.
  • Corruption Gauge: Every action or decision can increase the corruption level, gradually driving Noah into madness. This gauge will impact the course and conclusion of the investigation.

Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is a narrative investigation game inspired by the universe of Lovecraft. In this frightening first-person thriller, the player embodies Noah, an agent of the Ancile, an office specializing in occult affairs, investigating the mysterious disappearance of miners in the heart of the Pacific Ocean. His research will plunge him into the depths of the immense labyrinthine prison of R’lyeh, an ancient sunken city where Cthulhu is held captive. The player and their AI companion, KEY, will have to solve complex puzzles, make choices that will influence his destiny, and try to resist the corruption of the mind caused by the influence of Cthulhu.

Pre-orders on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S are now open!

Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss will be available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and on nacongaming.com on April 16, 2026.

Grind Survivors

Hello everyone today I wanna talk to you about grind survivors but first huge thank you to Pushka Studios for sending me a copy its greatly appreciated so let’s dive in.

So Grind Survivors is an action rougelite bullet hell game and does it live up to those tags the game starts you off on a forest level with difficulty 1 you start out the usual you kill enemies gain xp to level up and get more abilities each ability has a chance of evolving and becoming stronger which is a big benefit as your being surrounded, the game also offers alters where you get small stat boost that can make or break a run.

Ive made it to difficulty 3 on the forest I have yet to unlock a new map because honestly the game doesn’t tell you which is bogus cause for the characters and other difficulties it tells you how to unlock them not a fan of that to be honest.

I played on a ps5 and the game played beautifully no lag issues no stutters even when having hundreds of enemies on screen at once the game ran beautifully and you can tell the devs put in a lot of work.

Theres also a skill tree which let’s you increase certain stats with points you get from each run, as well as a forge to make your weapons stronger.

All in all the game does a great job keeping you entertained and making sure your able to survive as you progress i look forward to seeing what else the devs add to the game thank you all for stopping by take care and game on.

Chickenauts

Hey everyone hows it going? Today we bring you chickenauts but first a massive thank you to sneaky box, kautki cave for sending me a key its greatly appreciated so let’s dive in.

So what is Chickenauts its a rougelite bullet hell with a story and one thats honestly pretty interesting you see you wake up to some aliens taking your chickens only problem is the aliens are chickens as well so you grab your shotty and venture into there ship to get your flock back. So during my first run I did decent found a survivor from my farm and saved them as well as my first special chicken which made me laugh when I saw who it was. Theres a few special chickens each with there own abilities and names and honestly they really made the game funny for me there’s also other survivors that will like other games help you in your progress.

Now if you have played games like moonlighter or cult of the lamb where you clear rooms thats the style this game uses the waves spawn you fight and survive pick up your loot and move to the next room now in my play time I havent made it to the end ive come across a few chickens that just kill me fast and with only 3 hearts you dont really get to enjoy the run in my opinion.

For a rougelite and bullet hell its not like the standard games where you kill get xp and level up and get new powers here you find a mad scientist chicken that for some reason is helping you and he mutates the chicken thats with you in hopes of surviving longer.

This game has a great take on the genre and playing as a farmer trying to get his flock is just gold as a chicken owner myself I definitely enjoyed my time with this game and cant wait to see what gets added into the game.

Again big thank you to the devs I look forward to future updates thank you all for stopping by take care and game on.

Movierooms Cinema Management playtest

So I was recently invited to check out the movierooms playtest and I gotta say its reminded me a whole lot of hotel architect so let’s dive in but first huge thank you to the devs over at Mad Pumpkins for sending me a code i greatly appreciate it.

So the game is started out with the story mode to learn the basics its starts you out in the early 1900s and you learn how to build and staff your theater then it has you play a bit so you can see how things work which isnt bad you hire your staff build your rooms place the main items you need and boom you have your theater nothing huge nothing major just simple place and go.

The game has side quest you can try and do while your running your theater which earn you money but the quest I think were bugged for me as they didnt wanna acknowledge the stuff I already had placed i also couldn’t demolish stuff so I think that option was bugged as well.

The playtest ran great aside from those 2 issues placement was easy and the tutorial was easy to understand I didnt feel overwhelmed by anything and thats how I like these types of games to feel easy to understand and comprehend and hard to master the devs have done a great job with this playtest and I cant wait to see what’s next for this game thank you all have a great day and game on

Over the Top WW1

Hey everyone hows it going? Hope your all good today we talk about a new indie multiplayer game thats kicking major butt called Over the Top WW1 but first I wanna thank the team over at Flying Squirrel Entertainment for sending me a key its greatly appreciated.

So what is over the top ww1 well its a massive multiplayer game with 200 player battles all taking place during ww1 and I gotta say this game is fun as hell right now every match ive played has been different and intense my worse match i died almost 30 times my best match I got just over 20 kills and as someone who’s played call of duty and battlefield this game stands on its own.

So there’s about 9 different classes to choose from but the main one is rifleman and I tell you man is it hard to spot some players one minute your running for a better position next thing you know boom your down and the killing shot came from so many meters away from a guy that could be in plain sight so you definitely gotta pay attention to your every move.

I think the part I like the most is you get to build trenches to move around in better cover but man does it take a bit its something thats better done with 3 or 4 players maybe more so you can move through everything faster. Watching the earth open up in real time while you dig is amazing and definitely well done.

The combat is solid you actually die in 1 shot unlike other games sometimes depending on where the shot hits you do go down and have a chance at being revived or its instant death but either way its fun. And the banter the chaos from your team mates just hearing everyone talking as you progress its all fun which is how gaming should be fun.

Right now this game is only out on steam I hope the devs are able to expand down the road I actually wanna see this multiplayer game succeed and get bigger yes I recommend it yes its fun and definitely worth your time thank you all for stopping by take care and game on.

Issaquah, WA, USA – March 11th, 2026 – Seismic Squirrel today released the third behind-the-scenes developer diary for Aether & Iron, offering players an in-depth look at how the team brought high-speed car chases into a thoughtful, turn-based framework. Titled “How We Made High-Speed Car Chases Work in Turn-Based Combat”, the video features Tyler Whitney, Narrative Lead at Seismic Squirrel, as he dives into the development process behind the game’s tactical turn-based car combat system and the design philosophy that shaped it.

In the video, Whitney explains why the team chose to make vehicle encounters fully turn-based, aligning combat with Aether & Iron’s core identity as a thoughtful, methodical RPG experience. The goal was to ensure that every decision players make – whether in dialogue or in combat – feels intentional and meaningful.

He also shares that the team wanted meaningful crossover between the narrative systems and the car combat systems, reinforcing the game’s cohesive design.

The diary offers insight into how Seismic Squirrel approached the challenge of bringing high-speed car chases into a strategic, turn-based format while staying true to the game’s core vision.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, March 11, 2026 – Saigon Dragon Studios today announced that Space Tales, its retro-futuristic real-time strategy game, is now available in Early Access on Steam. The Early Access release includes the first eight story missions, the introduction of a new enemy faction, and replayable survival mode variants for each mission.

Space Tales combines classic RTS decision-making with modern strategic twists designed to reward both tactical planning and creative battlefield adaptation. The Early Access build delivers a substantial single-player experience, offering players a deep first chapter of the campaign, full access to core systems, and meaningful strategic variety from the outset.

Following Early Access, the development team will focus on completing the remaining story chapters and expanding the campaign into a full-scale sci-fi epic. Regular content updates are planned throughout development, with a full 1.0 release targeted for the end of 2026. Player progress will carry over seamlessly from Early Access to the full launch.

Early Access Content at Launch

At launch, Space Tales will include:

  • 8 story missions introducing the main characters, the central antagonist, and the foundations of the game’s universe
  • Survival Mode variants for every campaign mission, increasing replayability
  • Two enemy eactions: the deadly alien Nexera and the relentless mechanized Kill Bots
  • Modular HUB base building with full access to all core units and mechanics
  • Alien boss encounters that can be defeated and captured to become powerful battlefield units

A Reluctant Hero
Space Tales follows Xander Falcon, who becomes humanity’s reluctant hero after his father’s death, leading the Inter-Planetary Expansion army against the alien Nexera while uncovering dark secrets.

Alongside Vespera and Desmond, the conflict blends large-scale warfare with character-driven storytelling.

Two Factions. Two Threats. Adapt Your StrategyPlayers build modular colonies, manage limited resources, and push back escalating threats across hostile alien worlds. The introduction of The Kill Bots marks a major escalation in battlefield complexity. This relentless mechanized faction forces players to rethink defensive layouts, timing, and unit compositions. Success depends on efficient expansion, careful positioning, and decisive counterattacks.

Early Access features two distinct enemy factions with radically different combat styles. The Nexera rely on alien aggression, while the Kill Bots apply relentless mechanized pressure. What works against one will fail against the other, forcing players to constantly adapt their tactics and base layouts.

Capturable Alien TitansLarge boss encounters are a signature element of Space Tales. Players will face colossal alien lifeforms capable of overwhelming even established colonies. Once defeated, these titans can be captured and deployed as powerful units, unlocking new tactical possibilities and reshaping battlefield dynamics.

Saigon Dragon Studios is targeting a full 1.0 release by the end of 2026, with regular updates pacing the Early Access journey.

After Early Access, the team will head down into completing the remaining campaign chapters and expanding late-game content:

  • The remaining 5 campaign missions
  • Larger, more chaotic battles as the story escalates
  • A third enemy faction designed to further elevate tactical challenge and narrative stakes
  • Continued balance updates, quality-of-life improvements, and community-driven refinements

Early Access is the beginning of the journey,” said Matt, Game Director at Saigon Dragon Studios. “Players will experience the opening arc of our story and face The Kill Bots for the first time. From there, we’ll expand the universe, escalate the conflict, and deliver the epic sci-fi campaign we’ve always wanted to build.

Narco Check Demo

So today I checked out the demo for upcoming Narco Check i wanna thank the folks over at Craftone Games for sending me the demo its greatly appreciated let’s dive in.

So the demo was short maybe about 30 minutes of game play but in those 30 minutes I learned enough to know I wanna play more.

So your sent to an abandoned airport somewhere in Columbia and your job is to bring it back to life this is the start of the demo and I assume the game as well so you start cleaning up the out side taking out the trash then you move inside and get the place working again you turn on power then name your airport and boom its open season.

The demo takes place across 3 in game days where you learn how to function and figure stuff out if you ever played papers please you will feel right at home you match the information from there id to what’s on the computer if everything is good to go you let them pass if not you reject them.

Eventually you get to the point where you start finding contraband and you can have people arrested and then charge them for release it was awesome.

This game has huge potential and I cant wait to see the final product I had so much fun running my own airport keeping things cleaned and taking care of customers the demo is out on steam so check it out thank you craftone again for sending me this demo much appreciated have a great day and game on.

Possible one lunar industries demo

So today I checked out the demo for possible one lunar industries sent to me by the folks over at upstairs games let’s talk about it.

Honestly right off the bat this is the worse demo for a city builder ive ever played and I love city builders there cozy and fun and let your imagination run wild but not this one.

So you’ve launched a space rocket to this dark crater on the moon and your hopes is to industrialized it to help earth. So the tutorial starts simple clear this here place this here build this here super simple and then boom nothing nothing at all the game throws you into the game literally all the tutorial showed you how to do was move around zoom in and out click this to build and this to destroy.

Not once did the game bother to tell you about resources how to get more where to make them nothing at all you get a list of missions and then go fuck yourself figure out the rest fine I will and I tried but the game doesn’t tell you where your resources are how to replenish them or how to build more im sorry basic city builders like city skylines offer more detail and how to do shit then this game im sorry if im coming off brutal but when a game waste my time and doesn’t even offer an ounce of direction if pretty much ruins my mood if this was the demo I hate to experience the rest of the game I cant recommend this demo or the game the devs have some serious work cut put for them thank you all and have a great day and game on.

Marathon Server Slam

So yesterday was the first day to bungies new game Marathon and there server slam. I went in with some buddies to test it out and here are my initial thoughts.

The design in the menus definitely didnt like it gave me a headache looking at it i felt like I was watching an old Vhs movie the colors didnt help at all either.

The User interface needs work everything was so confusing and I felt everything blended in you have one menu option on the bottom left the other on the top right then in the middle left like god damn pick one spot and leave it at that fuck sakes.

The items are even more confusing since there mainly just different colors and while your in combat you dont really get a chance to read what shit is so you know what you need.

The pvp was very lackluster in the whole time i was playing we only came across 4 pvp battles and I felt that wasnt nearly enough.

The weapons were fun and the movement was ok. I know this was just the first day but these are my thoughts ill keep you posted as the server slam progresses
