Hello everyone hows it going? Today we talk about aethermancer a creature battling rouge-like, but first I wanna thank Offbrand Games who were awesome enough to send me a copy thank you guys so let’s talk about aethermancer.
I wasnt sure how to feel about this was it trying to be another pokemon style game or did it have enough carved out that it was different and in a genre with dozens of other creature games how would they stand out.
Aethermancers twist is the fact that the game is a rougelite and everything is done in runs similar to other games until you lose and start over again this is the way of the game. In aethermancer you can capture other creatures to help you on your journey you also get to pick from 4 starters me I went with the fire/earth monster named cherufe my buddy over at savior gaming went with nixie who’s a healer but I was able to find a healer quick and him a fire type. So before every run you can purchase upgrades and items to help you survive and make the runs longer which in these games you need that as some of the monsters you find definitely hurt.
The story is simple and solid as you explore the world and the areas of life and death but thats all your getting from me I refuse to spoil the game for future players. I didnt have any issues while playing the game it runs really good which now a days its a must need since one wrong code can cause a mountain of issues.
The game is a little over 20 bucks on steam and has a good amount of reviews keeping it in a positive stance from over 600 players do I recommend it absolutely more indie games need a chance to shine and aethermancer is one of them thats all for now guys thanks for stopping by take care and game on.

Decktamer
Decktamer is what you get when you mix magic and rougelite let’s talk about it. I wanna thank PR Hound and assemble entertainment for sending me a copy greatly appreciated.
So decktamer what is it well its a rougelite but its a deck battler you start with a set amount of monster cards and while exploring you gotta remember to tame monsters so that you can keep progressing and I gotta say man did I get my ass handed to me multiple times. The rouge aspect comes into play with prizes after each round and choosing what path to follow and I gotta say its hard even after the tutorial and playing on easy the game is hard.
The game immediately throws you into a tutorial so you dont gotta worry about going in blind the game takes care of you it puts you through 5 rounds of combat and item usage to give you a basic understanding of everything best part is how everything is shown to you in a book style as if writing a story as you play.
The monsters are insane looking they have health points and speed points we all know what health points do but speed points determine who attacks first the higher your points the better giving you a slight advantage unless your fighting some crazy strong monsters and trust me you will be fighting them.
The monster cards also have effects and abilities so its basically a traditional tcg but with some sick looking cards and power to play with. After some runs you get items from prizes and if you tamed a monster it shows you what they were best part you can tame more then 1 monster per round as long as you have the necessary items.
Decktamer takes the rougelite genre and gives it its own flavor the game is hard and challenging but not to the point where you rage quit constantly its a good game and if you like tcg style games this one might be your next addiction. Thank you all for stopping by take care and game on.
Heroes of Mount Dragon
Heroes of mount dragon is an action side scroller similar to towerborne if you played that then you will be fine here let’s talk.
So the game starts by having you select 1 of 8 characters then it starts telling you the story of the game showing you the continent of the map thats divided into 8 sections home to each race from elves to goblins and so on.
Our heroes were chosen by the mythical dragon to take over once he passes which is weird dont dragons basically live forever but anyways once you choose your character it takes you to the starting area which I wont lie feels like a mobile game complete 1 course to unlock the next and so on. Its own gimmick is that our heroes are able to transform into dragons thanks to there gift, the game recommends you play with a controller which I agree with.
The combat feels super clunky and stiff the movement felt stiff and was to me a bit off putting you would kinda hope for a bit more fluidity.
I came across different mobs in the first and second course to find some stuff I didnt like the biggest being enemies can still nail you while airborne and they dont damage each other with there explosions which let’s be real they should be dead from each other. The game is multi-player up to 4 to a lobby which is ok but I hope to see some investment into making combat a bit more fluid. And its a 20 dollar game which at that price im sorry I cant recommend when there are better options out there catch this on a sale but not at full price.
Thats all for this game guys thanks for stopping by and game on.
Trailer park tycoon Racoon ranch
So the game throws you into taking over your grandma’s business after she’s put into the hospital being sick you have a store and land to take care of in order to progress.
During the intro your shown how to manage the store and how to manage the land you have which involves taking out trash and placing trees as well as machines to progress your story and keep the store running you start with a water well to gain water and some apple trees for apples from there you use the apple juice and boom you get apple juice to sell at your store seems simple cause it honestly is.
The game takes place in a trailer park you have neighbors that offer you missions and neighbors that sell you blue prints in order to progress your story and store which it seems the store is your main focus as you need huge amounts of money to progress. Grandma will also give you missions they seem simple just a bit time consuming since some require money to buy stuff you dont have.
All the neighbors seem nice you have a bar and gun range as well as a blue print and seed vendor to expand on the only one with an attitude and im assuming its cause there old is your grandma who is a bit dismissive of you while your trying to help her.
This game clearly has a lot to offer and is one you can play casual if you want the story doesn’t progress unless you make it progress which you can just spend hours making stuff for the store and making money but if your a casual Sim fan then give this game a shot thank you and game on.
Grim Trials
Grim trials is a fun little action roguelike with dungeon crawler aspects and lots of hack and slashing. Let’s talk about it.
Prove your worth explore the after life academy a training ground for aspiring Grim Reapers thats basically your jist you pass away and instead of going into the after life your brought to an academy where your told you have potential for being a reaper but first you gotta face the sins of your life literally.
So every dungeon run you face monsters the goal is to find the boss and take them out to progress the story, the game offers lots of crafting as well which you will need so learn it fast or be left in the dust, you have teachers showing you the ropes but in the end its all up to you and how you approach the battles that matter. Crafting is straight forward recipe this materials that and boom new gear which you need cause the monsters are no joke, in a sense the game is the child of hades cause the games share the same aspect of room to room battles with the boss as the final goal.
In my time with Grim trials I have enjoyed it a lot even tho im stuck haven’t been able to make it to the first boss to progress the story now i play a lot of games but this one just kicks my ass no matter how well I do the game smacks me down and screams try harder which i do but no matter what I still lose maybe the difficulty is a bit high or maybe I just need to get gud but the game is worth it so pick it up on steam and give it a shot guys you wont regret it game on.
Tridents tale
Tridents tale is an exploration Rpg as you take on the role of ocean setting out to explore the world after having some trauma inducing events happen to her.
Tridents tale feels like sea of thieves if it was a single player game you get a ship you have a quest and now you must journey to complete the quest this quest leading to a mythical trident that has not been seen in hundreds of years yet some how she ends up with a piece of it go figure.
I love the open world part of the exploring once your on the boat you have other boats you can either avoid or fight and hope you survive you craft weapons and items to help you on your journey and you meet people along the way to help with your quest.
Trident tale is solid has a great base to expand on if they want but there’s nothing that screams im different other then the cartoon style graphics but dont take my word for it give trident a shot you might fall in love with it me I give the game a solid 7.5 out of 10 I cant wait to see what they add to the game down the road but for now thats all from me take care and game on.
Windward Horizon
First of massive thank you to Tasharen Entertainment for sending me a key to this gem of a game hope you guys enjoy my point of view.
The game is just a massive sailing adventure out in the world your adventure spirit is the only thing holding you back.
The game starts with the captain dying and he asking you to take him back to his home so he can spend his final hours with his family and loved ones after that you return to your ship unsure of how to progress until the crew chooses you as the new captain oh boy time to put on your big boy pants. This is basically the small tutorial where I wish it was longer and more detailed so the crew and you talk agreeing that we need a new ship so its time to get going.
You can take quest at different ports or just sail around fishing and fighting other pirates if you want. The game has some nice controls and doesn’t try to overwhelm you like others in this genre tend to do. It also sets you free and I do mean sets you free as in once the games done telling you how to do stuff boom its all on you which is a bit overwhelming in itself and I kinda wish it held on a little longer also add some indicators I get we are pirates but give the option of indicators to players it helps out. Also your not forced into combat every choice is left to you unless a world event or a quest requires you to fight that is and thats a bonus cause combat doesn’t become a pain after a while.
The game is available on steam for a nice 20 dollars and gives you your money’s worth i give it a 7.5/10 for my time spent with it so grab it set sail and enjoy thank you for stopping by take care and game on.
Lumentale Memories of trey
So I wanna thank beehive studios for sending me a copy of this demo and that’s all the pleasantries I have sadly on to the rest.
The game starts out slow excruciatingly slow and I was having a very hard time vibing with the game between how much dialog I had to read through and all the tedious beginning quest the game really needs a boost of speed so people can get to the good stuff instead of wasting 30 minutes or more getting through stuff.
After according to my steam timer I hit about 45 almost 50 minutes did I get my first animon gotta say he looked bad ass and you get to choose between 5 different kinds which is a huge plus giving you some nice variety.
Now onto the big issues that basically broke the game for me and made it unplayable. When I was trying to enter a building the game froze on me and I couldn’t do anything I was trying to be optimistic but it was a massive foreshadowing I restart and progress forward then all my animons glitch out and become my starter ok great a glitch now I tried to push forward and not worry until I arrive at a critical story part that I need to do to progress. There I experienced a total of 6 freeze bugs even after reinstalling nothing changed I understand this is a demo and im trying to enjoy it but when the game breaks for me there’s nothing I can do sadly I really wanted to enjoy and play this game so im hoping down the road i can give it another shot but for now its unplayable and needs some work and optimization. Thank you for your time have a great day and game on.
PotionShop simulator
Hey everyone how’s it going today we are gonna talk about a nice little indie called potionshop simulator.
So you just graduated wizard U and start your journey to become a potion apprentice you search far and wide but every shop turns you down because they want a minimum of 5 years experience that’s laughable where have I heard that before so after much searching you find a village looking for a potion master and this is where our journey starts.
So once you get control of your character after the intro your met by a small flying green dragon who happens to be your starter guide his name… is tim I love the fact he has a regular name and not some insane dragon name.
Your first stop ends up being the potion shop where the previous owner left you a bit of a mess but after much hard work your ready to start your craft.
So after taking you on a walk for some ingredients your one step closer to crafting your first potion in a some what openish world it seems there will be plenty to find and use in your craft. This is when the game walks you through potion making to an extent as you use your mouse to stir the cauldron after which tim tells you more about working with ingredients to help progress you, so fresh and dry ingredients have there own out comes which you will learn as you progress. After you make your first potion you get a tase of the business side of things by opening the shop on the top right is some info to keep an eye on the night and day cycle as well as your customer reputation and the cleanliness of the store all are very crucial to your success. The game has a book that keeps track of everything from customers and there likes to potions to make and there ingredients and amounts its a very useful tool so always use it when you need help. The computer seems to have a slow start at first only sending you 1 customer at a time but I’m sure that ramps up as you progress after some more messing around tim takes you on a tour of the village showing you where some important shops are that will help you progress in game with upgrades and purchases.
All in all potion shop simulator is fun from the time I’ve spent on it and it’s on of those games that’s easy to pick up and set down without worrying about losing things it’s a game i suggest picking up and giving it a shot you never know it might be your next game of the year but that’s all for today thank you for stopping by have a great day and game on.
