So what do you get when you mix vampire survivors with Rick and Morty you get one hell of a chaotic combination and thats Ground Zero Hero thats what we are talking about today but first off i wanna say a huge thank you to Acclaim and Rowan Edmondson for sending me a copy of the game to check out its greatly appreciated so let’s dive in.
As you know im a huge rougelite fan Vampire survivors started such a fun genre and everytime a new game comes out in it I try my best to get a copy and cover it so when Ground Zero Hero hit my radar I knew i wanted to try it out and see what spin on the formula they did.
So you start out with the first level everything else is unlocked the goal of each level is to kill 9,999 monsters and then you have to kill a boss for a total of 10k monsters is that a lot absolutely and I admit i got my ass handed to me plenty of times but each defeat makes you stronger as you unlock new powers and if you have the coins you can upgrade certain stats like health, crit and so forth so I failed about 5 times i think it was until I finally got a decent build going now if you have played any rougelite you know after a while the enemies are multiple and swarm you fast so this game offers a day and night cycle now you can brave the night and fight taking on stronger enemies or you can find a bunker and sleep the night away and it resets the field for a bit but whatever items you didnt grab before you went to sleep you lose immediately which is part of the reset. Now as you level up you can unlock a new power but on later levels it slows down as you need more and more xp so from all the power ups I noticed there was no xp power up just the basic powers at different levels as well as speed, power and attack speed.
So far each level plays the same 10k monsters survive and move to the next im stuck on a level as the monsters hit harder and none of the combinations im doing seem to help me out but that isnt stopping me from having a good time and honestly that was a worry of mine could I have a good time while having to kill so many monsters and for me that answer was yes I was still having fun the levels offer monster diversity as well as random events happen that make them even more funnier my favorite is when you set off a nuke it explodes and an alien pops up looking like wtf is going on theres also random power ups like riding a cow and plowing through enemies until it explodes theres also piñatas around the map that help keep you going by giving you health and candy which you need.
Later levels does increase in difficulty but that just adds to the challenges and makes the game more fun all in all Ground Hero Zero has been amazing its a blast and I for one am looking forward to how they keep the game growing thank you all for stopping by take care and game on.

Doloc Town
Hello everyone hows it going today i wanna talk to you about a little farm sim adventure game called Doloc Town but first a huge thank you to redraw games studios and logoi games for providing me with the key its greatly appreciated so let’s dive in.
Doloc Town is a big adventure right from the start as your nameless character is on a journey to the legendary eden thats located near doloc town but things dont go as planned as during ypur journey you fall from a massive height some how surviving and being nursed back to health by the first towns person you meet after much talking you end up becoming part of the town and things slowly open up from there.
You soon start to learn how to farm and build and boy is there a lot to learn and theres a decent tutorial even though I feel some aspects of it could add some more details. But in do time you learn and start getting a hang of things theres also a tech tree which also helps you learn new things you can build.
Now the biggest aspect of the game i feel is divided between building up your farm and learning new things to the exploration of the massive world around the town of doloc and trust me explore you must.
The game takes place in a i guess war torn setting maybe something else there is mention of a war from one of the towns people I just like how everything is held together as best as possible showing that even in the darkest times we dont give up.
This game has a massive amount of content to learn and do and honestly its so easy to get lost the cozy vibes the farming and scraping the awesome bad ass drone companion you get to help you stay alive the games been out for over a year in early access and finally enters its awesome 1.0 stage in mear days the devs have honestly made an amazing game and it deserves all the praise it gets so definitely grab doloc town on steam i hope consoles are on there road map cause this game deserves all the attention thank you for stopping by take care and game on.
Arms of God
Hey everyone hows it going today i wanna talk to you about Arms of God an interesting rougelite but first huge thank you to Dark Jay Studios for sending me a copy of the game its greatly appreciated let’s dive in.
Gear up for a battle through hell in this rougelite bullet heaven arena autoshooter with doom inspired gore vibes and metal music and a satisfying combat feel weild five weapons at once upgrade and merge them to forge indestructible builds and bring divine justice to a world on the brink of chaos thats there excerpt on steam and its a good one.
Now onto the game you play a Templar who goes into combat with a cross that at first doesnt do much you have an arm system similar to doc ocs from spiderman which I think is bad ass seeing your weapons moving around on there own as your dodge enemies to hit points of interest and stay alive is very well done.
This rougelite has a ton of flavor to it the cross has its own skill tree the weapons have there own upgrades and the character gets its own blessings this game has so much to do that you dont see it all each run.
The game is broken down into acts and each act has 15 levels you gotta beat now dont play if you dont have time to do them all at once as you cant save and come back least I didnt notice.
The combat feels smooth the dodge mechanic thank lord for one and weaponry has a good variety with more as you progress, this is one game I definitely recommend theres to much in the game for me to spoil so if your a fan of rougelites and bullet hell games give arms a god a chance you will not be disappointed thank you all and have a great day and game on.
Dark Light Survivors
Hello everyone hows it going today i wanted to talk to you about dark light survivors but first huge thank you to the team over at Mirari&Co for sending me a copy of the game to try out its greatly appreciated so let’s dive in.
So Dark Light Survivors is a great game from what ive played so far its a rougelite with its own twist the game offers a good amount of upgrades to make your fight better but the best part is what makes this game unique you see more rougelites are all played top down view you go around blast monsters gain xp and level up with dark light you get both top down and 3rd person meaning you can switch between both views on the fly while your surviving now usually these games i always play them top down its how I enjoy the games but sadly with dark light survivors I noticed a lot of short comings with the top down so it was better for me to play in 3rd person. You see in other games you could shoot at a decent distance even before any upgrades with this one your shots would disappear at the 3 to 4 feet mark and thats before making any type of contact but in 3rd person mode it actually feels like your making better contact with them.
Another thing i saw was the map markers showing you where statues and chest are in top down view you get no indicators or anything but when you switch to 3rd person view you get a distance meter as well as actually being able to see them.
I know it sounds like im wailing on the game but im just showing some inconsistency it feels like the top down view was an after thought for the game instead of a fleshed out product.
Now like other rougelites when you level up your greeted by a deity from the dying world that grants you power this is also random but each deity gives you 3 choices for 1 element my favorite is always ice i like freezing monsters to give me some breathing room the electric powers were good but we’re heavy focused on melee and the fire was focused all around i feel there could be some work here as well to make it more in line with being even between ranged and melee attacks.
Now after each run in this dying world you return to your sanctuary to spend the coins you earn theres a store that unlocks relics for you to use and a store that also has new weapons and characters you can unlock as well after clearing there objectives to unlock.
So far there’s only 3 levels you can play through not sure when more will be added but the game has great potential and I enjoyed myself these types of games are great time killers as you never know how long a run will last but dark light survivors is out now on steam check them out and thank your for stopping by take care and game on
