Marvel Rivals Season 1

Hey everyone how’s it going bringing you some more marvel rivals news as season 1 just released adding new characters a new map and a new story to explore and find this season is awesome so far let’s talk about it.

Season 1 has us fighting again the one and only Dracula new york has fallen to his horde of monsters and the avengers are trying to battle to save the world like always. This season also introduces the favorite family in marvel the fantastic 4 giving us Reed Richard’s a.k.a Mr.Fantastic and Susan Storm a.k.a invisible women a healer and brawler this season also gave us a new map and a few game modes which I haven’t had time to play since I’ve been grinding the battle pass.

The battle pass adds 10 new costumes most revolve around Dracula and my 2 favorites are magneto and ironman, magneto has the goth Dracula colors but all together I get huge warhammer 40k vibes and I love it same for ironman.

Season 1 fantastic 4 is being released in 2 parts with Johnny and thing coming at the mid point of the season i can’t wait to try them out in combat.

Onto the characters Susan has a sweet deal so far she’s a healer with force push or pull as one attack and a stunning bubble as another her ultimate causes players in a circle to vanish from outside view but inside its war and damage like crazy, she’s a good fighter so far could use a healing buff honestly. As for Mr.Fantastic he’s a brawler and slow honestly he needs faster attack since he uses punches and can bounce back ultimates which is cool he can also buff up acting as a mini tank but can’t attack while he’s tanking and his ultimate just straight sucks you bounce and slam into the ground the camera position sucks ass and your vulnerable to attack damage i was hoping more of a punch barrage a la luffy from one piece style not what we got.

Season one is doing great so far people that abandon matches get punished and I like that personally it’s a team based game play like a team I can’t wait to see what else we get with season 1 but I’ll keep you guys posted if we get anything juicy also try the get out it’s free and lots of fun thank you for stopping by take care and game on

Towers of aghasba

So i bought this game on release day me and my friends had planned to get it and play together but all the stories around multi-player left my friends with some doubt so they didn’t get it and here I was out 30 bucks so I played the game and played it I did.

So the premise of the story I’ve gotten so far is that your tribe the shimu tribe once lived on aghasba and the ruler at the time queen chileku basically threw the eco system into complete chaos at least that’s what it seems so far so the people leave cause the island becomes a wasteland leaving nothing but barren land and the evil that has embedded itself on the island.

So this is where the game starts whats left of your tribe escaping there new world from whatever was hunting them sail back to aghasba but wash up on an island just south of the main land this is tutorial island cause it’s basically where you learn to move climb deal with stamina and health as well as gather and farm materials you also gain a few quest to progress the little island.

This little island is where it becomes interesting a bit as you have a seed for a special tree that once thrived there after you plant it the cut scene shows it growing after a bit you meet the first god of the world huldra the forest god a bitter spirit who hates humans for the destruction of the island this is where you start to see how much suffering your tribe is responsible for and you basically become the person to set things right which isn’t bad as some of the greenery you see is beautiful as well as the animals you bring back.

The game runs well has its moments the problem I’m having is the slog of a repetitive grind and after a bit it just wears you down to the point I don’t even wanna play anymore, it took me 4 hours to progress tutorial island and finally reach the main island where your tasked with finding a giant seed from huldra and replanting things meaning once again you gotta rebuild which I don’t mind but honestly the fact that the game really makes u feel like your in a waste land everything is hard to find and you have to worry about the monsters which yes there are monsters the first you see are spiders then you see corrupted people and your expected to survive with equipment that is basic they kill you fast while u barely do damage it’s not fair honestly.

On the main island you do get more cool stuff the fast travel system is portal based you get a mount from a monster called the harelope there’s a item called shimu scope which basically helps identify the creatures around you into your shimudex yes it’s inspired by pokemon but with more info which is cool in my opinion. You find things around the island that talk about the history of the tribe and island which definitely seems useful as you progress.

I’ve only put 12 hours into the game and i know for these types of games thats nothing I’m just having a hard time wanting to play when the grind feels extremely un-rewarding maybe down the road I’ll revisit and make another blog post about it I’m sorry if it feels like I’m bagging on the game I’m not i just feel it could use more tweaking to make it a bit less grindy and easier to get things especially when you need materials for literally everything from weapons to farming tools to buildings if you look survival exploration games this is a good one to pick up yes it does have multi-player once you reach the main island but the progress only be fits the host not the entire party that definitely needs to be fixed if you haven’t picked up this game give it another month or 2 to marinate before you buy it but for now it needs a bit more cooking time, thank you all for stopping by take care and game on.

Path of Exile 2

Path of exile 2 the ARPG that literally melts your brain with how much you have to think.

Path of exile 2 is the much anticipated sequel to grinding gear games path of exile this game expands on the first by having a better well thought out story the game is in early access meaning there’s stuff missing for example there’s supposed to be 12 classes to choose from but in E.A you only get 6 and like with any game where it’s focused built shit gets broken and fast some classes have already gotten nerfs  and I’m sure there’s many more to come as well as there’s only 3 acts available in easy then 3 on harder difficulty and then what’s open up of end game.

I’ll talk about what I’ve played but considering there’s so much to this game I will make another post down the line when I experience more of the game in all it’s brain melting glory.

So to start off you get to choose between a warrior a ranger a monk a witch a mercenary and sorcerer the story starts as soon as u pick a character class the other classes are hung at the gallows as you jump off a castle wall into the ocean you wash ashore on an island and start your journey immediately finding a weapon and skill gem from there you explore until you come across your first boss outside the town similar to the first game depending on class you might have an easier time maybe lol.

So once in town the game picks up you do missions finding stuff learning new skills getting new gear and so on, each act has its own sub story that ties into the main plot your hunting down this terrible demon that is corrupting and killing the land so yeah you go from would be prisoner about to die to hero of the land.

The skill gems have a variety your able to use from other classes I’m currently working on a monstrosity of a monk lol the skill tree is insanely huge with lots of paths and options to take.

The second act will give you a shot at acendency which makes your character even more focused and bad ass so please do your research cause once you pick an acendency your stuck with it and will have to make a new character in order to change your choice.

This game has a lot to offer and this is just a small portion of the ice burg as there’s so much more to experience and once I have I will write another post but for now this game is a must if your a fan of ARPG games.

Thank you all for stopping by stay safe and game on

Marvel Rivals

Marvel rivals the overwatch game we needed.

Ok let me get it out of the way by saying yes rivals is an overwatch clone even though I haven’t played overwatch since release but it’s the exact concept.

Now the game uses the marvel ip to give us an awesome amount of characters from x-men to Ironman spiderman and guardians of the galaxy this game offers such a diverse cast that the replay ability is insane and the best part no grind to unlock new characters as there all unlocked from the get go which let’s be honest not having to grind just adds more fun factor to the game and I’m here for it. The games monetary system is strictly skins and battle pass which I’m fine with they don’t force you to buy anything and the game feels like a breath of fresh air.

Game modes are simple capture the point and escort but the maps are beautiful and there also destructive which adds to the whole hero combat system and makes it feel more realistic.

The heros are graded on a star system 1 star means pretty easy to manage 5 stars means complex and hard to learn there are so many characters that I haven’t been able to play them all.

There is a ranked mode which i will most likely stay away as these types of games always fill with toxic try hards which I hope rivals doesn’t the game is fun right now and being free to play helps it a lot.

The match making is insanely fast duh to the cross play between consoles and pc thankfully I haven’t come across any issues so I welcome everyone to play.

The game is fun and easy to pick up and play nothing special needed there also working on the first even which is a Christmas event I can’t wait to try out which brings us some new skins as well I see marvel rivals being around for a long time and I can’t wait to see what new characters they give us if you been on the fence give the game a try it’s free that’s all you need thank you for stopping by take care and game on

Mythwrecked Ambrosia Island

First I wanna thank the team over at Whitethorn games for the code to such an amazing game.

Mythwrecked ambrosia island is a wonderful game about exploration mysteries and the friends you make along the way, your journey is experienced through Alex someone just trying to enjoy a vacation on an island as she travels towards her destination a freak storm turns the sky green and shipwrecks her boat on a mysterious island, as you explore you come across doors statues great buildings and plenty else across the game.

Your tasked with finding a place to stay the night which leads you to a lighthouse on the southern part of the island as you rest the game starts to open up you find a statue that magically speaks to you her name is ora and she helps you start your journey this game uses Greek mythology as it’s bases and it’s done beautifully to the point I couldn’t stop playing.

The first person you come across is Hermes the messenger god but he’s not feeling very godly you see something happened on the island and the gods have no idea who they are or what’s going on this is where the games exploration comes into play you see Hermes will have you do some quest to earn his trust thus opening more avenues for you to explore and travel and I do mean explore and travel you meet birds who are hungry crabs who are shy and many more in between, the games main focus is exploration but it’s done in a way that you don’t get bored since your seeing a beautiful scenery around you although later on in the game is does feel a bit grindy and tedious, the in game currency is ambrosia apples which grow all over the island and thankfully they respawn after a day of rest there’s benches all over the island that let’s you both save your game and pass time which I think is sweet since you don’t have to run back to your light house to save and rest. Dealing with Hermes is a small feat after a while he gives you a key which in turn basically opens up a huge chunk of the island for you to continue exploring and meeting other islanders.

The story to this game is done nicely it doesn’t overwhelme you at any point and you can discover stuff as you go each god has a history the game doesn’t follow the traditional god hood story but the story the devs have crafted is in my opinion much more interesting and worth finding out.

Here are some key features of the game

Gods Among Us: Many Gods call Ambrosia Island home, from Ares to Athena, Hermes
to Hades. Tracking them all down is made easier with the Ambrosidex, though some
may be harder to meet than others.

● Treasure in the Sandbox: Use the radar signal on the Ambrosidex to hunt for lost godly
treasures hidden all over the island! Return them to their rightful owners to help rekindle
their memories and learn more about the island’s fate.

● Conversational Wizard: Explore the island, examine new objects and locations, and
talk to others to unlock new conversation topics. Maybe some Gods know something
that will help Alex on her adventure, but some sensitive topics may be off-limits until you
have earned their friendship.

● Even Gods Need a Friend: Experience a non-linear, emotional story about the
importance of friendship, family, and community.

I played this game as non stop as i was able to the game offers about 10 hours of game play give or take depending on how much you play the game i was able to acquire every achievement on my first playthrough which I’m greatful for, I don’t see how the game could be expanded upon for dlc but that’s just my view point I hope I am wrong and there’s a dlc or maybe another game set in a different god hood.

Mythwrecked Ambrosia Island had me hooked from start to end helping the gods find themselves and solving the mystery of the island was worth every minute I spent playing this game i can’t wait to see what the future holds for this dev team I hope they have more in store for us I loved every minute played and this game is a 10/10 from me and a must play for those who enjoy exploration and mystery solving.

Thank you all for stopping by have a wonderful day and game on.

Writers rush

Hey guys today we talk about writers rush a little Indie game that does a great job of making you feel like a writer let’s dive in

So the game plays like a contest you against 3 npc controlled characters fighting for a chance to advance to the next round in hopes of reaching round 7 and taking the crown.

So the game gives you a bunch of choices from settings to depth to naming the character of your story and your book, each book takes time and work you gotta do research to see what categories align with what crowd, it breaks down a lot in the game there’s computer generated plot parts and you choose the best one that fits the current setting then after your all said n done you release the book to be judge by critics and earn you a score the better you score the more you sell giving you more money to unlock new categories and sub categories you also can by new type writers which give you different bonuses but the game is literally never ending when it comes to the options you have.

The game is simple easy to learn and does a great job in making you feel like your doing a virtual book I’ve only managed to make it to round 3 as the game gets harder per level but I don’t give up I keep trying and it’s a great game to relax and kill time with writers rush is on steam for 5.99 it’s an easy game to run on any computer or laptop since it’s not a demanding title and it’s definitely worth trying out and just enjoying while you drink some coffee or hot chocolate thank you guys for stopping by have a great day and game on

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor

Shadow of mordor man what a game truly a great game from monolith and wb games and during the past 3 weeks I think I’ve put in 15 hours for a completion of 50% sorry but the game has way to much to find and do and honestly I was getting bored and wanted to finish the story.

So the story follows talion and celebrimbor in there journey for revenge and trying to piece there memories back. After being murdered by the black hand of sauron celebrimbor attaches his soul self to talion and they journey through mordor for answers.

The game has you doing a bit of everything from finding forgotten treasure to hunting caragors there’s even an appearance by gollum in it. The story itself is simple go here start quest go there kill orcs or destroy this gain new power here, it’s a great rpg with an ability tree as well as a power up system for your weapons you get 3 a sword a bow and a dagger all really cool with there own secrets but all that is nothing compared to what makes this game truly amazing and that’s the nemesis system.

The nemesis system monoliths and wb games baby a system that gives the npc characters a brain and almost will of there own you see the orcs in the game evolve and get stronger either by killing each other or killing you the player and it’s this system that provides hours of orc killing goodness and keeps your busy as you progress for no matter how good you are you will die by there hand and they will get a rank up thanks to this system I know shadow of war probably made greater use of this system but with shadow of mordor being the start it’s a great system and one I hope they rent out and let others have a chance with it.

I’m sorry I know this review isn’t the greatest I’ve been away from this blog for a while and I gotta get my briches going again and doing better, now about the game if you have never played shadow of mordor please give it a chance it’s a great game solid story but the nemesis system is where the game shines there’s lots to do in the game for those hard-core completionist I can’t wait to see how that system grew in the sequel but thank you all have a great day and game on

Rising Lords PC Review

I wanted to be fair to this game but I had a hard time with it the tutorial really let me down as it felt very unhelpful and could have been done better not much in the way of how to do this more in the way of do this then again strategy games were never my Forte.

The tutorial is only 1 aspect of this strategy game as it offers a story and custom games which I spent my time with hoping to get a better grip on the game but then again that might just be myself and not the game.

The population control was a bit weird as having a certain amount netted you 1 more to your control to do with as you pleased from farmer to blacksmith and so on the game is heavy focused on sending resources between spots you control as the resources in areas are limited to non existent and having an army for this is a plus as it will help your influence.

The combat boils down to a rock paper scissors element in which one unit will do better then others thus having a small boost in combat which could be effective and more significant with larger numbers your environment also plays a fact as the game tries to be as close to real life strategy as possible.

The graphics weren’t my favorite as they seemed to mimic an old book but to each there own, I wish I could tell you more about the story but I never got to it but if your a strategist and these games are your Forte please give it a shot this was my first strategy game and it made me realize I have lots to learn in this genre thank you for your time have a great day and game on.

Skybreakers

Hey everyone it’s been a while so I wanted to make sure I did this review right join me as I tell you about a fun indy game called skybreakers.

Immerse yourself in the hack-and-slash world of “Skybreakers”, where aggressive attacks and  the exhilaration of defeating your enemies make every battle a legend. As a Disciple of Jixia, masterfully switch between Basic Attack, Dash, and Ultimate to defeat the evil. With an array of weapons, each with its own advanced moves, as well as Ability Construction, Weapon Affixes, and Artifacts, you can create unique builds. Gear up to face formidable Champions and experience the raw thrill of relentless combat! That’s the base synopsis so let me tell you about my experience with this game.

Skybreakers is an action rougelite a la vampire survivors where you take on waves of monsters and try to survive but in this game you get 20 waves at a minute a piece now your probably thinking 60 seconds not that hard to survive and you would be right that is until you reach chapter 3 and up then each wave turns into a fight for your life with a difficulty ramp that is noticeable even to amateurs like myself.

So there’s 4 characters you can play as but you unlock them as you progress past each chapter each character has 9 weapons you get to fight with but unfortunately you get them at random when you reforge your weapons wish this wasn’t the case but I can understand as it keeps the game at a variety level instead of people playing with there favorites and always picking one weapon

– Yi, the Blades Wielder, adept at swift reactions and pinpointing enemy weak spots.

– Motao, the Hammer Master, who draws upon golem strength for powerful basic attacks.

– Haiyi, the Adept Boxer, skilled in agile positioning and evading enemy assaults.

– Nangong Wen, the Star Controller, specializes in setting up a star chart for AOE damage.

One thing I love that sets this game apart from others is the art style it uses an ink style brush effect similar to old Japanese art styles from ancient times its very beautiful and easy for the eyes not straining them as you stair at your screen which I think is awesome in my opinion as someone who wears glasses the easy colors made for some good sit down sessions

The game does have a story but not in a conventional way you only get glimpse of the story after a certain amount of waves and encounter with champion monsters which is this games bosses from the menu you due find a story section which is comprised of 8 pages with 4 picture blocks that open up to tell you the scenes you have witnessed

Like other rougelites this game does use an upgrade system which is by far the easiest to understand out of all the ones I’ve played and I love that you earn crystals the currency by killing monsters completing levels and saving what you don’t spend you get a few different categories and can use 4 upgrade slots at a time as you progress which makes for some very powerful builds and yes you can get over powered if done right

As for me the time I’ve spent playing the game has been very enjoyable sadly though I am stuck on chapter 3 which is the hard difficulty I can’t make it past wave 7 as the monsters hit harder spawn more and surround you quickly but I haven’t given up I will make it past but in the time I’ve spent with the game I can definitely recommend it if you love rougelites please give this game a chance it’s available on steam for 8.99 which is not a bad price for a game that offers a good amount of replay ability thank you all for stopping by have a wonderful day and game on

I also wanna thank the team at ETime studio for sending me the key to play this amazing game and I can’t wait to see what’s next for this team thank you all and have a wonderful day
