Night Swarm

Hey everyone hows it going today I wanna talk to you about a little gem called night swarm a vampire rougelite thats actually interesting with its own twist, let’s talk about it, But first I wanna thank Fubu Games for sending me a copy its greatly appreciated.

So night swarm is another one of those vampire survivor like rougelite you are Roderic a vampire assigned with bringing back the glory of your people and castle against the war that threatens to engulf everything. So the game feels like a giant board game the characters all have a base like a board game and they walk the same by jumping around I thought this was awesome it made me smile seeing something different.

The game has a skill tree, relics, artifacts and a bunch of other stuff you discover along the way there’s a giant map divided into parts you must unlock and make your way through but after selecting which part you wanna go to you have a path that has many choices and those are the levels you will be playing in this war. The levels have a lot of different factors to them some are boss fights others you fight against elites but there’s also quest to progress the story and so forth.

You also have companions that will offer different boost to you during your runs so your not alone sadly they dont attack which would have been more helpful then just a buff but thats just my 2 cents. Theres also a bunch of companions you unlock using the reputation you earn.

For mission progression you continue along until you see exclamation points floating around certain lvls so far the story seems interesting from the little bit ive gotten from it i do hope more is explained since now I have vampires and werewolves trying to kill me go figure

If your a fan of rougelites and love vampires then this game is for you there’s no price yet as the release date is December 4th but there is a demo live right now give it a shot and enjoy thanks for stopping by take care and game on.

After a nuclear holocaust forced humans to find refuge in the depths of Earth’s oceans, you awake as a race genetically engineered to survive in The Anchor, a region carefully modified to sustain your new aquatic life. Build, defend, and fight for your subaquatic home, finding shelter from the ecosystem and other players in these dangerous depths.

Subaquatic life may be treacherous but you don’t need to go it alone as the game’s persistently online servers support more than 150 players on each server, and worlds that continue to exist and evolve even when you’re offline. You’ll remain vulnerable to the environment and other players while you’re sleeping, making secure shelters and player alliances vital. This is made possible by Fearem’s custom networking technology, utilizing the studio’s decade-long history in tech-focused games, including work with other, popular multiplayer titles.

Across Anchor’s vast 16km² open-world map, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to fight – or befriend – your servermates. In diverse biomes such as rocky, coral, and arctic areas, you’ll build bases from crafted and collected materials before defending your community. Face off against powerful clone remnants of an old civilization, raids from other players, and the ultimate underwater predator – sharks, which are attracted by blood and guided by a hunting and feeding system.

Key Features of Anchor

  • Build Together or Go It Alone: Although Anchor is designed to be enjoyed together with more than 150 players per server, the game will also feature a solo or co-operative multiplayer sandbox mode without the threat of PvP (player versus player) but including resource scarcity and combat with NPCs.
  • Anchor’s Apex Predator: Sharks play a key role in the game and are part of a predator system which sees them actively hunt and feed. Just like their real-life versions, Anchor’s sharks are attracted by blood and scavenge from corpses and while they aren’t always hostile, you’ll need to stay alert to stay safe.
  • Advanced Crafting: The rich crafting system sees you not only build your base, but a variety of primitive and advanced tools and weapons. Process ores, metals, shells, and more to develop melee and projectile weapons from Hydro Cannons and the Hydro Precision Rifle, to Obsidian Knives and Crossbows.

Revenge of the Savage Planet

What do you get when your drifting through space arrive at your destination and get a harsh wake up call well you get revenge or so you would hope that’s how we start the game revenge of the savage planet you arrive after an explosion sends everything out of whack but was there an explosion? This game makes me laugh it opens you up to your character watching a video of your employer who hired you for this awesome mission to make other planets worthy of living on but no he’s not into it no more so he waits for you to be billions of miles away and fires you, yeah you heard me you get fired what the heck people.

So this is where you take over your on a random planet no weapons no mods no way of getting home but thankfully your not alone as your A.I buddy is there to keep you progressing.

You eventually reach home base where you set things up and you start researching stuff for your 3d printer so you can survive better the slew of monsters you encounter tho adorable and cute are not to be messed with some explode some spit others charge and your goal is to survive.

This game has some beautiful colors and graphics it reminds me of a cartoon as you play through the planet has lots of points of interest as well as paths you cant travel unless you have the proper upgrades there’s also plenty to do as the story progresses you find out that not everything is as clean and cut as it seems.

Revenge of the savage planet has lots to do multiple planets to explore plenty of animals to gather info on and lots to survive you eventually encounter boss fights the story is fun and definitely keeps you wanting more info on it the game offers a solo player experience or couch co op as well as online co op tho I haven’t tried any of these co op modes I would love to play this game with someone else just to share the laughs from sassy computer friend to weird recorded videos this game is a blast and one I must recommend to anyone looking for some fun games to adventure with that’s all for today keeping it spoiler free enjoy and game on.

Towers of aghasba

So i bought this game on release day me and my friends had planned to get it and play together but all the stories around multi-player left my friends with some doubt so they didn’t get it and here I was out 30 bucks so I played the game and played it I did.

So the premise of the story I’ve gotten so far is that your tribe the shimu tribe once lived on aghasba and the ruler at the time queen chileku basically threw the eco system into complete chaos at least that’s what it seems so far so the people leave cause the island becomes a wasteland leaving nothing but barren land and the evil that has embedded itself on the island.

So this is where the game starts whats left of your tribe escaping there new world from whatever was hunting them sail back to aghasba but wash up on an island just south of the main land this is tutorial island cause it’s basically where you learn to move climb deal with stamina and health as well as gather and farm materials you also gain a few quest to progress the little island.

This little island is where it becomes interesting a bit as you have a seed for a special tree that once thrived there after you plant it the cut scene shows it growing after a bit you meet the first god of the world huldra the forest god a bitter spirit who hates humans for the destruction of the island this is where you start to see how much suffering your tribe is responsible for and you basically become the person to set things right which isn’t bad as some of the greenery you see is beautiful as well as the animals you bring back.

The game runs well has its moments the problem I’m having is the slog of a repetitive grind and after a bit it just wears you down to the point I don’t even wanna play anymore, it took me 4 hours to progress tutorial island and finally reach the main island where your tasked with finding a giant seed from huldra and replanting things meaning once again you gotta rebuild which I don’t mind but honestly the fact that the game really makes u feel like your in a waste land everything is hard to find and you have to worry about the monsters which yes there are monsters the first you see are spiders then you see corrupted people and your expected to survive with equipment that is basic they kill you fast while u barely do damage it’s not fair honestly.

On the main island you do get more cool stuff the fast travel system is portal based you get a mount from a monster called the harelope there’s a item called shimu scope which basically helps identify the creatures around you into your shimudex yes it’s inspired by pokemon but with more info which is cool in my opinion. You find things around the island that talk about the history of the tribe and island which definitely seems useful as you progress.

I’ve only put 12 hours into the game and i know for these types of games thats nothing I’m just having a hard time wanting to play when the grind feels extremely un-rewarding maybe down the road I’ll revisit and make another blog post about it I’m sorry if it feels like I’m bagging on the game I’m not i just feel it could use more tweaking to make it a bit less grindy and easier to get things especially when you need materials for literally everything from weapons to farming tools to buildings if you look survival exploration games this is a good one to pick up yes it does have multi-player once you reach the main island but the progress only be fits the host not the entire party that definitely needs to be fixed if you haven’t picked up this game give it another month or 2 to marinate before you buy it but for now it needs a bit more cooking time, thank you all for stopping by take care and game on.
