Wardogs

Hey everyone hows it going? Today i wanna talk to you about an FPS that has basically consumed every spare minute of my life but first a massive thank you to Team17 and BULKHEAD studios for sensing me a key to check out the game its greatly appreciated so let’s dive in.

So you may think im exaggerating but I promise you im not the only game I have installed on my pc besides anything I review is Wardogs this game was everything I wanted from battlefield and then some and honestly i dont have a ton of hours in it since I work and have kids for the actual game im sitting at 50 hours the playtest since I got into the last alpha I managed 30 hours before release I know rookie numbers compared to other players but im in love this game is everything I wanted and more.

So what is wardogs its a cross between arcade combat and mil Sim team work you see the combat is chaotic and non stop at points similar to battlefield but its more mil sim in the aspect that you can build bases that grant you access to a fuck ton of machinery to defend your base with some of that machinery is mortars that you can use to constantly bomb areas such as enemy bases or random points on the map another is the talon which is a special anti air launcher that will make you shit your pants if you dont remember your flair button as well as my favorite the Ciwaws anti air machine gun spitting out insane numbers of bullets to take down helicopters and transports but thats just the tip of the ice burg there’s so much more to explore and play with.

Now onto infantry where you will spend a good 85% of your time this game doesnt have classes and thats what i love what it has is career paths that will gain experience and level up and that will all depend solely on what you decide to do are you a born sniper hiding in the brush with your scoped gun waiting for the perfect shot or maybe your a builder and wanna build up the defense of your base, no? Then your a run and gun dude living life on the edge with your AK 47, infantry is everything you can play assault which is built around AR guns fighting the good fight in the front lines taking enemies down as you progress maybe you wanna be a driver and deliver supplies to the base so your team mates can build or a pilot in transports and mini helicopters getting people to the battle as fast as possible wardogs doesnt tie you down with a class it lets you choose how you wanna play and contribute and that is the most beautiful part of the game the freedom of choice and opportunities. Yes this is only a brief overview because honestly I want you to get wardogs i want you to play it and live the chaos and beauty of this game.

Now the biggest part of the game is the game mode king of the hill where everything the devs built comes to light here is where you and 99 other players fight for supremacy divided into 3 teams the fight will come down to how well you can hold the hot zone, what is the hot zone you ask its a highlighted area on the map that moves around the map to keep engagement at a maximum and its where chaos and hellfire rain supreme as you fight with your friends and randoms to hold enough people to earn points first to 100 wins so dont expect a short game cause there not i promise you.

Now wardogs makes you think before you head into battle how you might ask the economy the games weapons and vehicles are all bought with the money you enter the game with and earn while playing yes this game is driven by money and thats the aspect I love cause even if your broke you can grab a hammer build at the base and earn money then you can take that money buy a transport truck or heli and either deliver people or supplies and boom even more money until you can finally buy the weapon you want and head into battle or maybe thats not your style then grab a parachute jump into the battlefield find a dead body and loot them yes you read that right you can loot people its the main way to keep the fights going every kill could be a potential upgrade for you.

Ive had a few insane matches and honestly its hard to stop playing when I have to deal with life but the game is so much fun and I cant wait for future content and updates.

I would love to see more guns added to the support class as its hurting with only 2 shot guns and 2 machines guns I wish it had an AR or an smg even if basic as for the rest of the game its to me perfect I love it and I am making it my goal to hit 1k hours in it again a huge thank you to the devs for sending me a key thank you for stopping by take care and game on.

Orc Incremental

Hello everyone hows it going today we are talking about one of the most fun auto battler ive played in a long time but first a massive shout out and thank you to Playsaurus for sending me out a key to check out the game lets dive in.

Now whats an auto battler in simple terms the computer controls your faction in battle you get to choose the formation and abilities but the computer does the rest ive played a few of these games but always got bored of them but this is the first one that ive had fun with the whole time i was playing it.

Now the games called Orc Incremental you control and orc army as you fight against the humans in hopes of taking over the world now the game only let’s you do a few things you can upgrade your units, unlock new stores, summon more units to add to your army or my absolute favorite throw fireballs at the humans and trust me they deserve it stingy humans trying to control everything love live our orc brethren.

The game works simple the round starts you kill and survive and earn money to use in the stores for upgrades or get more units or if you lose the round starts over again until you win and move on every 10 levels you encounter a boss which is ment to test how well your set up is doing so far and if your doing enough numbers for damage and trust me I hated the boss battles but I was thankful they were there as they showed me hey you need some work so then what do you do easy you can go back to any previous level you completed and earn more money for upgrades and i did this a few times i would go back to lvl 1 and run through everything just to gain more coins.

But what do you do when thats not enough? Well the game has a mechanic called Dark Rebirth which gives you points to use on permanent upgrades and then its off to war again. The rebirth grid is massive honestly if reminds me of the sphere grid on final fantasy X just massive so you know this game has a lot for you to fight with such a grid.

This game has so much depth that honestly i wish I could control one of the fighters just to get more immersion but being the god of these orcs is enough I cant wait to see what the devs have in store for the game and what units you discover as you progress im exited this game is perfect to just sit back with some friends on discord and talk while your army goes on a warpath thank you for stopping by take care and game on.

Hell Let Loose Vietnam

So what is hell let loose its a military sim game focused on realism and playing as a squad working with your team mates to capture objectives and this iteration takes us to the jungles of vietnam but first a huge thank you to Team 17 for sending me a copy its greatly appreciated so let’s talk about it a bit.

Now as an avid FPS gamer most of my games have been battlefield with a dab in counter strike and rainbow 6 siege I did try the original hell let loose but since I didnt have people to play with it was difficult for me to learn the game so when I got sent vietnam I said let’s give it another go and these are my thoughts.

First off i know im blind as fuck but how can the enemy team see me from hundreds of meters away kill me instantly when im still in a city I get it they want realism but its insane when you cant even tell where the enemy is or where your getting shot from I know I know realism. Yes I suck I admit that and even with taking my time and trying to learn the games vibes I was getting my ass handed to me and im sorry but I play games for fun not to be pissed off if I wanna rage and quit ill go play a souls game.

The game does have an extensive tutorial which helps out players like me who are complete noobs but it doesnt give you better eyes sadly so your stuck suffering.

The few games I played i did get lucky with a few kills but I was mostly dying past the point of frustration I can definitely say hell let loose vietnam is not for me but for fans of military Sims please give it a chance you might have better luck then me.

Graphics wise everything looks amazing for a game and im surprised how well the game performs and runs with so many players on the field at once the devs behind this truly know what there doing.

All in all if you want realism here you go the game is solid but definitely not for me i appreciate the devs hooking me up with a copy theres a road map on there steam page thank you all for stopping by take care and game on

Blightstone

Hello everyone today we get to talk about Blightstone a dark fantasy turned based action rougelike but first huge thank you to Unfinished Pixel for sending me a review copy its greatly appreciated so let’s dive in.

At first I thought this was a squad based bullet hell game thats was my mistake I didnt read the email properly my mistake but what I got was so much better and a lot more tactical where every move you make is life or death and choices mean everything.

So what is blightstone its an dark medieval fantasy turned based rougelite rpg thats straight from the email so we all know rpg’s have great story and this is no exception and the story starts at the tutorial. Yes thank lord there’s an actual legit tutorial that gives you a break down of the characters how to move what to watch and check every skill. Truly thank you Unfinished Pixel for this and the fact its right at the main menu under its own section meaning you can play it at anytime to brush up is even better in my opinion.

Players will lead a small party of great warriors on a journey that transcends time itself as you must take a living crystal thats bound to you by fate to the end of the world, every run every failure every mistake is another scar that dooms our world to end untimely, but wait every run also is met by a chance at victory which brings a chance at a new build new skills new gear all while the chaotic world around you is swallowed by darkness.

Here’s a small excerpt from the email.

In the world of the Blightstone you’ll find deep strategy, blended seamlessly with roguelike progression. Your mission? To protect the Earthglass Crystal, and deliver it to the Infernal Rift. Only by doing this will you be able to destroy the demon overlord Korghul, and shatter the Blightstone itself.

So that crystal thats follows you around is key to saving the world but can we save it and at what cost you see this is where the game transcends time as everytime you die well I cant spoil it you will have to play to find out.

The combat is great even for a turned based game and even better if the fact the environment works both for you and against you either by having a wall blocking your aim or a fire barrel near the enemy primed for a spell to set it off make sure you study your surroundings before you start the fight every detail is a small aid to victory.

Heros come to your aid along your journey you will find others to aid you in the fight against evil so dont worry your not alone the world will answer.

The map is probably my favorite part you get to choose the path you want theres multiple points of interest and combat and every so often you camp out at night in hopes of healing a bit before you continue.
All in all Unfinished Pixel has a great gem here and the polish is insane the game feels buttery smooth and the story even tho the main good guy pisses me off is interesting and will draw you in to continue playing so pick up blightstone for 15.99 its worth it for the replay ability alone thank you all for stopping by take care and game on.
