So I watched the new godzilla minus one film and honestly I thought it was ok for the most part even tho it did have it’s moments let’s get into it.
So the movie follows main character shikishima who was a kamikaze pilot in the war who got scared and basically ran he stops on an island of mechanics who check out his plane there he encounters godzilla for the first time not even fully grown maybe bigger then a 2 storie building godzilla proceeds to kill all except for shikishima and 1 other who manages to survive.
Fast forward a bit and our friend is back in Japan trying to rebuild his life things are rough for him he meets a girl who was displaced during the war her along with a baby end up moving into our main characters home where he finds a job aboard a vessel finding old water mines bringing them to the surface and detonating them this is where the others see godzilla for the first time and the movie picks up.
Japan is left to fend for itself no one offers help as hostilities from world War 2 are still being felt around the world by this time godzilla is full grown and a beast to contend with when you don’t have proper vessels to use.
I feel for the time setting of things they didn’t go all out with godzilla but that’s just my opinion the special effects were awesome and left me wanting more and other then a few parts where our godzilla looked fake they did an amazing job making him seem as real as possible.
I for one am happy to have seen the movie and enjoyed watching it with my son if your an avid godzilla fan and I mean the old school films then please watch the movie it’s on netflix for now thank you all for stopping by have a nice day and game on
