Hello everyone hows it going today i wanna talk to you about a cozy rpg that honestly i cant do it justice but first a massive thank you to Eastshade Studios for sending me a key and giving me the opportunity to check out there game so lets jump into it.
Again I cant stress this enough my thoughts do not give this game justice the game in question is called Songs of Glimmerwick this game is a cozy rpg set in a world where sound is magical and used to cast spells ranging in everything you see the world once enjoyed sound until a grumpy diety silences the world over sleep many years later some wanted that power for themselves and things didnt go as planned and now the world is giving you a chance to enjoy sounds again through magic.
So this game when you play it gives me massive Harry potter vibes the school could definitely compete with hogwarts in terms of intricacies and how one room leads to many more then just outside the school is a small village that again feels inspired by hogsmead village now this is all my opinion please dont raise your pitch forks but its honestly the best comparison I can give the game, you play at a top down view over seeing everything the game progresses day by day giving you the feelings of actually being there you go to lessons you chat with fellow students learning about them and talking about the day to day adventures. One cool feature is when your doing story related stuff the time freezes as not to rush you and giving you a chance to make sure you check and do everything you want.
My favorite part of the game even though it kicked my butt each time is learning new spells since it turns into a musical game if you have played games like rock band then you know what I mean you use the main keys of the keyboard and input the keys as notes come down giving you a chance to play them perfectly but if you mess up dont worry you can keep trying over and over until you get the score you want or nail down each key thankfully this only happens when learning new spells.
All in all Songs of Glimmerwick is an adventure waiting to be explored and enjoyed and I for one highly recommend it the change of pace from feeling rushed to being able to enjoy the game really shows that the devs want this game to make an impact and be one you cant forget again thank you to the devs for giving me the chance to check the game out its greatly appreciated thank you for stopping by take care and game on
