Hello everyone hows it going? Today i wanna talk to you about Anvira Forge Defense but first a huge thank you to SakrSoft and Aly for reaching out and sending me a key to check out.
Now ill be 100 percent honest i dont play tower defense games im not a big strategist so the concept has always been lost on me but this one felt different and when you look at the board it reminds me of the old plant vs zombie games where you lined up your plants and blasted away but in this game your using Golems now this next line is right out of the email…
“Anvira Forge Defense is a tower Defense roguelite where the real weapon isnt a tower, its the build you invent. Every run you combine golems spells relics and upgrade into something gloriously broken.”
Now that sounds like a lot because it kinda is but lets pull back to the tutorial yes thebgame offers a tutorial thank lord, it plays the first 4 levels of the first map then it sets you free to use your own imagination to play how you like. And trust me theres a whole lot to play with.
So there’s different towers and trust me your not lacking at all there’s a total of 24 towers so far so imagine thats the base of this equation then theres items where each item has a stronger variant and so forth so thats another lets say 100 items then you add over 20 abilities and over 40 relics so your combinations are literally limitless only yourself can limit your gameplay thats an insane amount of stuff already then you have a vast amount of enemies and a huge amount of difficulty multipliers honestly thats just a small portion of the game. Then you add in the library which is a skill tree system that you use currency you earn per run. Endless combinations.
Then the game itself after the tutorial Is the jungle map which gives you a dozen or so levels to fight through and learn and unlock things all while keeping the game play simple you set your golems and they do the rest a tower Defense auto battler and an enjoyable one at that.
Ive gotten my butt handed to me a few times with the difficulty multipliers as theres missions that you finish after each run depending on everything you used so I ended up turning them off so I could progress and see what came next.
I love the difference in mobs and how they work together to over power and kick your butt unlike other games where sometimes healers just dont do a good job.
All in all Anvira is simple and easy to learn a great game and a fun time but for some that might get old fast which I understand just editing difficulties can get boring but for those that enjoy a challenge its there at the start of every level and you tune it to the way you want nothing more nothing less anvira is out on steam for 14.99 so give it a shot you never know it might be your next time sink.
